Dr. Sudhakar Muthyala

Former Scientist | Founder & Trustee, Amar Saath

Dr. Sudhakar Muthyala, trained as a scientist and teacher, is currently serving as a philanthropist. He was raised in a farming family in Andhra Pradesh, India. Through his hard work and the support of well‑wishers, he completed a Ph.D. in biomedical science and later served as research faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. During his journey from village to city, he witnessed life from different angles, experiencing both the struggles of village life and the comfort of city life. Moved by these experiences, he began working among migrants and marginalized people, and in 2016, he left his academic career to dedicate himself fully to social work

Dr. Manitha B Nair

Scientist | Founder & Trustee, Amar Saath

Dr. Manitha Nair is a scientist in regenerative medicine with over a decade of experience, having worked in both the USA and India. She believes that the purpose of her life is to serve others, and is actively engaged in addressing issues related to vulnerable children. She plays a significant role in nurturing new ideas and operationalizing Amar Saath. Dr. Nair is also the co‑founder of Butterfly Cancer Care Foundation, an organization that stands for cancer affected children. She is the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Innovative Young Biotechnology Award and the Young Scientist Award.

Dan Paul Thomas

Entrepreneur | Co-Founder, Amar Saath

Mr. Dan Paul Thomas (MBA) is an entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to empowering young people and families from vulnerable backgrounds. As Director of Blossom Inners, he spearheads a transformative mission that impacts over 800 individuals and families.

Dr. Steive George

Sr. Consultant | Programme Manager, Amar Saath

Dr. Steive George, after completing his MBBS in Kerala, pursued a Diploma in Family Medicine and an MS in ENT from Christian Medical College, India. He also completed a palliative care course from Cardiff University, Wales. He has worked in mission hospitals in different parts of India for 10 years and can truly feel the pulse of the poor and marginalized in society. He is currently working as a family physician in Kochi.

Dr. Nisha Thomji

Professor | Programme Manager, Amar Saath

Dr. Nisha Thomji, Head of the Department of English at St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, has over 23 years of teaching experience. She inspires students to think critically and creatively, while also actively engaging with marginalized communities. She blends academic excellence with compassion and leadership, shaping minds both inside and beyond the classroom.

Nalini Gopalakrishnan

Retd. Officer | Programme Manager, Amar Saath

Mrs. Nalini, a retired officer, is interested in promoting education among underprivileged children. She has volunteered with many organizations that work among children in slums and tribal areas. At Amar Saath, she is active in the Amar Jyothi program.
